North and along its coasts Tunisia is characterized by a Mediterranean climate.
From November to January the weather is rainy and cooler. In summer it is advisable to stay on the Mediterranean coast where the air is cooler.
In the interior, Tunisia enjoys a semi-arid climate. There are two distinct seasons, a rainy season (October to May) and a dry season.
In the south the climate is arid. It is hot and damp, even in winter.
There is hardly any rain. Winter is therefore the perfect season to travel to the south of Tunisia, especially the desert regions
